NEW AFRICA DAILY NEWS (NADN) Freetown, Sierra Leone- This is an enviable commendation that identifies distinguished people or institutions that are directing the undertaking to renovate Africa’s agriculture into reality from a struggle to survive to a thriving business.

It plops a limelight on spirited ambitions and specialized innovations that could be copied across the mainland to establish a modern epoch of food security and financial alternative for all Africans.

The Africa Food Prize, amasses on the importance and tenets ascertained by the Yara Prize, spotlights achievements and innovations with transformative power that can be measured and recounted across the continent to eliminate hunger and poverty while moreover giving an important new source of job and income.

In its appraisals, the Africa Food Prize Committee will concentrate on scalability, value creation derived from the nominee’s work and concrete results. It will similarly accentuate the primacy of the candidates’ achievements in terms of ingenuity, their purpose as an insight and focal step in the fight against hunger and poverty, as adequately as their inclination for cooperation and knowledge sharing.

The Africa Food Prize was established in 2005 by Yara International ASA in Norway to acknowledge successes in Africa husbandry. The Yara Prize acknowledged people from Kenya, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Uganda, Malawi, Senegal, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Mozambique for their achievement in giving rise to African plantations more productive, successful and resilient.
