The unification will be active from April 1st, 2021 and the new firm will be dubbed the South African National Petroleum Company. The consolidation, steered by the rivalry of carrying out a new company that has a facilitated operating model via the development of a shared services system and a mutual information platform, arrives a few months after cabinet agreement and the assurance that PetroSA had incurred losings of R20 billion since 2014. Tanzania: Sets Stage for Electric Standard Gauge Railway Operations

Energy Minister Medard Kalemani said, construction of power lines between Dar es Salaam (Kinyerezi) and Morogoro (Kingorwira) were completed. Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (Tanesco) was ready to power Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) locomotives. He said. “We have invested Tsh71.1 billion (about $30.7 million) in building the necessary power infrastructure for the first phase of the SGR.
