The MIGA assurances furnish safety to Escotel Mauritius against the threats of Transfer Restriction, Expropriation, and War and Civil Disturbance. Ghana’s Oil Reserves Left with 2.5 Billion Barrels

By Richard Adorsu- NEW AFRICA DAILY NEWS (NADN) Accra, Ghana- Ghana’s oil reserves is left with about 2.5 billion barrels more to be produce if new oil discoveries are not found. This represents about 86% of the total oil reserves. According to Fitch Solutions, only about 400 million barrels of oil has so far been produced from the Jubilee and TEN fields, since the country began oil production in the year 2011. “So far, just 400mn bbl of oil (gross) has been produced from the Jubilee and TEN fields, out of the 2.9 billion barrels in place, representing 14% of potential production”, it said. Africa Development Bank: Approves Funds to Combat Adverse Effects of Drought in Madagascar

By Richard Adorsu- NEW AFRICA DAILY NEWS (NADN) Accra, Ghana- The African Development Bank (AfDB) approved an emergency aid of $686,000 to Madagascar intended to cope with the combined effects of the drought and the Covid-19 pandemic in the far south of the island. This aid should be used for food assistance, vital for the most vulnerable groups and support for the prevention of acute malnutrition. It is thus planned to acquire and distribute 510.52 tonnes of rice, 195 tonnes of legumes, 78.40 tonnes of vegetable oils, 34 tonnes of super cereals and 14.24 tonnes of LNS-MQ.
