EU and COMESA: To Increase Private Sector Participation

The funds will be utilized to implement the Regional Enterprise Competitiveness and Access to Markets Program (RECAMP), focusing on agro-processing, horticulture and leather products. Rwanda: Rwf13.8 Billion Power Transmission Facility Launched

This facility is the largest in the country’s history so far with a capacity to transmit 220/110 kilovolts. This will enhance Rwanda to receive and share power with Uganda, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) where there are serious challenges in infrastructure. $28.5 Million Agreement signed by the Sierra Leone Government with the International Fund for Agriculture Development

The largest share of the additional funds by IFAD will be devoted to rice production in the inland valley swamps, which is consistent with the priorities of government.
