Kenya: To take on AI Satellite-Driven Crop Monitoring Platform to upgrade growers’ Harvest
By Abdul Rahman Bangura– NEW AFRICA DAILY NEWS (NADN) Freetown, Sierra Leone– This Agri-Tech platform will enable Kenya agriculturalists to produce informed, data driven farming determinations and monitor yields utilizing satellite imagery and artificial intelligence. A national digital program for satellite and artificial intelligence (AI) crop monitoring and yield forecasting is being formulated in Kenya by the Directorate of Resource Surveys and Remote Sensing (DRSRS) and Agri-Sensing Technology company, Agr-vision. Charles Situma – DSSR Deputy Director noted, the platform will insist on the capacity to digitally monitor and identify various crops across Kenya. Likewise, it is anticipated to give growers’ authorities access to a sophisticated analytics tool to improve authorities....
