NEW AFRICA DAILY NEWS, Banjul, The Gambia- The Republic of Portugal once the Former colonial power of African Portuguese colonies in the continent. Angola have thrown their weight on the current leadership of Guinea Bissau , His Excellency JOSE MARIO VAZ for the appointment of a new Prime Minister in the country which is in line with the constitution and the results of the parliamentary elections were the PAIGC party swept the polls.

It could be recalled that on the 10th March this year ,Guinea Bissau held it parliamentary polls which many Local , Regional and other International Observers considered as free , fair and transparent and won largely by the AFRICAN PARTY FOR THE INDEPENDENCE OF GUINEA BISSAU AND CAPE VERDE .

The excerpts of the document written by Angola, a strong member of the African Union peace and Security Council sent a strong message to the leadership of the country to respect constitutional order and stand on the firm ground to avert any future escalation of violence in the country. It was clearly stated by PORTUGAL AND ANGOLA that, the election of a prime Minister for the country established the path for Guinea Bissau to enter into fresh political cross roads and stimulate economic growth for the country.

Angola further expressed serious concern over the growing political tension in the country about the issue of a prime Minister which may certainly exposés GUINEA BISSAU in to future political threat.
