NEW AFRICA DAILY NEWS (NADN) Freetown, Sierra Leone– Dr. Asare let out…Ghana’s coconut oil, coconut water, and other products from coconut are now known in the world market making Ghana’s position on the world market, as the West African nation blessed with the ideal climate atmosphere for coconut production nationally and internationally.

This was known during the third edition of the international coconut festival carried in Takoradi. The crop blossoms well in the tropical rainforest zone and also the coastal strap comprising the Greater Accra, Central, Volta, and Western Regions.

In the Western Region, the majority of coconut is germinated in three districts, namely… Jomorro, Nzema East, and Ellembelle. The advantages arising from coconut are multifaceted as Ghana indexes 9 in the global production of desiccated coconut.

In a recommendation to launch the far-reaching premia from the coconut trade, the 3rd International Coconut Festival under the theme: ‘Invest in Ghana’s coconut sector for an inclusive economic transformational and improved climate and social resilience’ was held under the aegis of GEPA.
