NEW AFRICA DAILY NEWS (NADN) Freetown, Sierra Leone–An assertion by the media consultant to the airline in Nigeria let out that the Satarem would produce SAF in the country, while Ethiopian Airlines has agreed to acquire the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) from the firm. With this MoU, the statement hinted that Ethiopian Airlines Group has solidified its commitment to sustainability.

This strategic alliance denoted an important phase in which Ethiopian Airlines was taking toward a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.

The MoU with Satarem would enable Ethiopian Airlines Group to incorporate SAF into its operations, thereby significantly reducing carbon emissions and supporting global efforts to combat climate change. SAF is a sterile recourse to conventional jet fuel yielded from sustainable feedstocks that can lessen greenhouse gas emissions.

Remarking on the ambition, Mesfin Tasew – Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Airlines Group, conveyed satisfaction with the cooperation with Satarem in its journey towards a greener and more sustainable future.

The adoption of SAF, Tasew said was not just a business determination; it likewise echoed in its obligation to battling climate change and investing in innovative solutions that support a sustainable industry.

This partnership with Satarem America Incorporation, reaffirmed Ethiopian Airlines’ position as a forerunner in adopting eco-friendly aviation solutions, illustrating its allegiance to retaining lofty criteria of environmental rendition and pitching into the wider sustainability goals of the aviation industry.

As one of Africa’s gigantic and most efficient airline, Ethiopian Airlines have long been at the forefront of sustainability. The airline has enforced myriad purposes, comprising fleet modernization, optimized flight operations, tree planting, and vast recycling programs to minimize waste and emissions.

The integration of SAF into its operations would promote and enrich these endeavors, greatly decreasing greenhouse gas emissions associated with air travel.
