NEW AFRICA DAILY NEWS (NADN) Freetown, Sierra Leone- “Building a Better Tomorrow” as she dubbed the program at Chamwino State House in the capital Dodoma. The scheme is intended for at strengthening the attention of youth in the agrarian sector for endurable and preferable careers.

President Hassan exhorted more than 800 youths that have been assigned for the first phase performance of the program to work tirelessly by clinging to the nicest agronomic procedures to be imparted to them by the extension officers.

Minister for Agriculture Hussein Bashe – said more than 20,000 young applicants demonstrated curiosity in enlisting on the first phase of the program, but only 812 youths were chosen, expanding that more will be selected in the coming phases.

Selected youth will be allocated up to 10 acres of land each, which they will end up owning.

The resourceful administration program, which concentrates on young men and women, has ascertained a Youth Guarantee Scheme and Loan Facility under the Agricultural Input Trust Fund.

President Hassan said out, her government will proceed allotting adequate funding to farming programs to improve the production of key food and financial crops.
