AFCON Gives Appointment to Nwanko Kanu and Six Others

NEW AFRICA DAILY NEWS, Freetown, Sierra Leone- Arsenal legend- Kanu Nwanko, has been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to be part of the special envoy for the fourth coming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt on Friday the 21st of June 2019.
The 42 year old was shortlisted along with six other African Football Legends for Special roles.
The other six African legends are : Mahmoud El Khateeb (Egypt), Sameul Eto’o (Cameroon) Yaya Toure, Didier Drogba (Both Cote d’ Ivourie) , Rabeh Madjer (Algeria) and El Hadji Diouf (Senegal).
Kanu won the CAF African Football of the year in 1996 editions for Nigeria from 2000 to 2010.
AFCON will commence on the 21st June 2019 with the final scheduled for 19 July, 2019.
