Students of the University Management Technology: Exhorted to make Sierra Leone proud, Sierra Leone’s Minister of Information and Communications – Mohamed Rahman Swaray divulged

NEW AFRICA DAILY NEWS (NADN) Freetown, Sierra Leone- Barely weeks after the University Management Technology (UNIMTEC) fulfilled a university prominence, the institution appears to be ambling forward in full energy with the blastoff of Sierra Leone’s outstanding Machine Learning course subsidized by the
Japanese administration. And it’s important to note that, this modern academic program subsists in only five other African nations involving Ghana and Rwanda.
Swaray, was the keynote speaker at the launching ceremony. And in his address, he motivated students of UNIMTEC to exhibit responsibility and devotedness to the modern course and make the University and the English West African nation of Sierra Leone proud. The Minister of information and Communications asserted, the new
course is in tandem with Sierra Leone’s desire and aspirations on education – creating sustainable local ICT capacity and aptitude.
Rahman Swaray expanded that, “Sierra Leone’s most precious asset, is its young population that comprises 60% of the overall population, can be redone, harnessed, empowered and renovated into a digitally adaptive, skilled and innovative workforce that not only comprehend, adopt and move with global trends but chart its own digital footpaths towards comprehensive transition and development”.
Conclusively, he uttered profound gratitude and reverence to the Administration of Japan for its assistance. And that sixty learners will profit from the program.
