A Tripartite Residents: In Liberia’s Margibi District Applauded Rep. Attoh-Wreh…Incorporating them in the decision-making Process of their District

NEW AFRICA DAILY NEWS (NADN) Freetown, Sierra Leone– Elders of Kakata Residents of Margibi County District Number Three, stirred by twenty-four community leaders, have submitted a development agenda to their Representative – Ellen Attoh Wreh, to be implemented in 2024.
The leaders over the weekend presented their development agenda to the office of their District Representative via her Chief of Staff-Freddie ZayZay, during a press conference with real participants of the district in Kakata – Margibi County.
In the commencement of June 2024, Representative Ellen Attoh Wreh assmbled her maiden District Development sitting in her second term, to permit district residents to propose projects to her office for onward submission to the Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE) under the budgeted $100,000 to the district.
It is believed, the 55th National Legislature through the House of Representatives subsidized $13.2 million in the 2024 National Budget for Legislative projects for the purpose of decentralization and grassroots development across the 73 Districts of Liberia.
The Margibi District Three leadership in the District Development Sitting resolution, autographed by the majority members, enlisted the more developments for the district, encircling the construction of a district headquarters with a library for students, a bridge connecting Mandingo Quarter and Dartu Town Communities—and the fencing of the Wenneta Community football pitch.
“The public serves as a watchdog for ensuring that we make the right decision affecting our people and district, we again resolve to affix our signatures to this document making it legal to the public.”, they asserted.
In the meantime, Margibi District Three residents have heaped accolades to Rep. Attoh-Wreh for incorporating them in the decision-making process of their district. They noted that the resolution will now focus their district representative to supervise and assure the implementation of diverse development projects and initiatives within the district.
